The Only Thing That’s Left To Do Is Die © 2021 by Andy Braun Well, I finally got my affairs in order: Life insurance, quarter mil’ should do just fine. Got folks to take my cars, guitars, and even kids; Well, the only thing that’s left to do is die. Paid a lawyer for my last will and testament, Financial, medical P-O-A. Even started up that Roth IRA; Well, the only thing that’s left to do is die. Well, they get you comin’ and they get you goin’; Costs way too much to live, too much to die. One of these days, I’ll see my spirit fly; Well, the only thing that’s left to do is die. Well, I finally got my sorry act together; For once maybe I did something right. Someday soon I’ll see my spirit fly; Well, the only thing that’s left to do is die.

22 02:23
2. 22 © 2021 by Andy Braun Looking back upon the last year; Not a whole lot comes to mind. Xs mark days that have gone by; Time warp through three-sixty-five. What did I do with 22? You left me here without a clue. I would take time to clear my mind But I’m scared that another year’ll go by. How could I let it slip so fast? How could I have lost control? Guess I must have kicked my own past; The more I learn the less I know. Now it’s time to open up, Now it’s time to hit a nerve, Time to tap into a vein, Time to get what I deserve.

Come Back 03:52
3. Come Back © 2021 by Andy Braun Come back to me; Come back to the way things used to be. Come back, no matter how you’ve changed; Come back, no matter how strange. Let me be the one to chase away your fears. Let me be the one to wipe away your tears. Let me be the one. Come back to us; Come back and rise up from the dust. Come back, this distance is too much; Come back, nowhere to go but up. Come back, come on; With you a part of me is gone. Come back, serenity is lost; Come back, much too great a cost. I can never go back to the place where no one dies. I can never go back the place where my innocence lies. I can never go back.

4. Still Alright © 2021 by Andy Braun Whatever I said, whatever I did; There’s really no excuse for it. Wherever I go, whatever I do, Can’t shake what I put you through. Maybe I could just run it off my mind; Maybe my heart’ll explode if I try. I just wanna know if we’re still alright. Could I soak up all the blame? Could it help to ease the pain? Could I make it go away? Could you look at me again someday? Is there something here to save? Can we ever be okay? Can we escape with our life? Can we remember how to feel alive?

Side 03:14
5. Side © 2021 by Andy Braun There’s a side that loves this life and wants to hold on; There’s a side that would give it all up just to be gone. There’s a side that knows everything will be okay; There’s a side that can’t bear the thought of another day. There’s a side that sees the beauty all around; There’s a side that knows it’s destined for the ground. There’s a side that knows what it wants and how to fit in; There’s a side that just doesn’t know where to begin. There’s a side that loves everyone and wants to help; There’s a side that’s all-consumed with pleasing itself. There’s a side that craves connection with anyone; There’s a side that knows everybody is alone. There’s a side that’s weary of wanderin’ and wants to go home; There’s a side that can’t sit still and needs to hit the road. There’s a side that holds the present moment dear; There’s a side that would rather be anywhere but here.

Leave You 02:49
6. Leave You © 2021 by Andy Braun Dishes never done; Nothing put where it belongs. Trying to stay awake And untainted by this place. I’ve had enough of my own life; I can’t keep living yours for you. And so it’s come down to this: I have to leave you. How much is enough ‘til all you do is just put up? Giving more than you can give; Is it any way to live? Don’t need you to feel alone; I can do that on my own. Been pulling this dead weight; Finally busting down the gate.

How Long 02:18
7. How Long © 2021 by Andy Braun How long will we keep on insisting Existing is risking, how long? Do we owe each other not to live? Do we owe each other not to exist? Who decides what is right? Who decides what’s worth a fight? Can we choose who’ll breathe the same air? So much to lose deciding what’s fair. How long can we keep on resisting Existing is risking it all? Do we owe each other all we can give? Do we owe each other how we should live? How long can we keep on existing Without risking nothing at all? Was it ever even possible? Let’s go and have a popsicle.

8. Saying Nothing © 2021 by Andy Braun Maybe I’ve been waiting for something to come of my dreaming. Maybe I just needed someone to give my songs meaning. I want to step out of this cloud and start seeing the sky And finally stop sitting around and start living my life. Saying nothing is burning me inside; Saying nothing is burying me alive. How can I tell you that you fill the void I’ve been feeling? I don’t want to keep licking wounds that have just started healing. Baby, my thoughts would more than make you blush. Maybe my thoughts would kill you right on the spot. Maybe I’ve been waiting for signs that are not misleading. Maybe you’re waiting to see if I have the same feelings. Will we go back to saying nothing when everything’s laid on the line? Will we just use each other to get others off of our minds? Saying nothing is such a waste of time; Saying nothing gives no peace of mind.

Trouble 02:02
9. Trouble © 2021 by Andy Braun Well, you know I don’t like to do what I’m told; Doin’ your work is gettin’ old. You might have let it slide, but then I’m shootin’ my mouth right off again. I’m in trouble, trouble, Wouldn’t you know? I’m right back here in trouble. Well, none of your agendas work for me; Think I’ll just do what I please. I got no time for messin’ around While I’m runnin’ myself straight into the ground I’m in trouble, trouble, Wouldn’t you know? I’m right back here in trouble. So you wish you’d never see me again; But you can rest assured, my friend, Wherever you go, whatever you do, The trouble I’ve made is comin’ for you. I’m trouble, trouble, Wouldn’t you know? I’m right back here, I’m trouble. How ya doin’? Good to see you; I’m trouble.

Don't Settle 02:39
10. Don’t Settle © 2021 by Andy Braun Don’t settle for less than you’re worth; I wish that you would have some kind of standards. And don’t tolerate destructive words; They’ll eat away at you until you’re gone. As you get ready to go out with him, With shadow on your eyes. When you return will it still be there, Or running down your face in thick dark lines? And so you gave him yet another chance; Again he crossed the line. Don’t sit idly back and take the hurt; Don’t let him crawl back and apologize.

Your Own Way 03:19
11. Your Own Way © 2021 by Andy Braun There’s no way to tell today Which direction you will turn. Time will tell if you will stay Or if you will run your own way. Convergence of paths Brought us together somehow. Where did you come from? And where are you coming from now? May not be your fault, But that doesn’t mean it’s not true: I’m giving up my life And getting nothing from you. You’re scared for reasons unspoken; You’re feigning ignorant bliss. Your motivations are hidden. I should have seen it coming: my fate was sealed with a kiss. I finally found out today The direction you have turned. I should have known it would come to this: No one could ever keep you from going your own way.
